Riccymar Morales
After years of working as an industrial engineer in Venezuela, life took an unexpected turn. The political and social challenges in my country pushed me to leave everything behind in search of a better future. When I moved to the United States, I spent years working day jobs, unsure of where my path was leading.
Everything changed after a life-altering accident ā I was struck by a car and spent a long time in the hospital recovering. That experience forced me to slow down and truly ask myself what I wanted to do with my life. The answer had always been there, deep down: I wanted to tell stories.
I decided to pursue my lifelong passion for filmmaking and enrolled at Valencia College in Orlando, Florida, where I immersed myself in the technical and creative aspects of film production. Through hard work and a drive to turn pain into purpose, I found my voice as a filmmaker.
Today, I live in Brooklyn, New York, and work across directing, production, and the art department. Every project I take on is an opportunity to grow, connect, and tell stories that move people.
Iām always open to new collaborations and creative challenges that push boundaries and make me grow as an artist and storyteller.
